Emily Sweeney is a choreographer, performer, writer, and bodyworker based in Los Angeles. Her performance works knit improvisation, objecthood, and language. Emily holds an MRes (with distinction) in Performance & Creative Research from the University of Roehampton, where she studied with Adrian Heathfield and Simon Bayly; and a BA in Dance & Literature from Bennington College, where she worked with Dana Reitz, Susan Sgorbati, Eva Karczag, and Edward Hoagland. She is an adaptor of Deborah Hay’s solo score “Dynamic” (2012), and has performed in the work of Claudia Bosse/theatercombinat; with Emily Johnson/Catalyst Dance; and Daria Faïn/PROSODIC BODY.
